Just a quick post to a man called Graham (Mission Critical Web Design) who behind the scenes has been working extremely hard to make this website happen and become reality, Graham has spent hours and hours designing and putting together this site, with me throwing information at him every five minutes saying "this needs to go on, that needs to change" and all for free. Graham has donated his very busy and precious time for the good of the group and the Scala, there's dedication for you! A BIG thanks from all of us "You're a star." And I promise I wont make too many changes, or pile to much more work on you from now on
A BIG BIG THANK YOU

Thank you for the kind words and appreciation! Its a pleasure to be able to contribute in some way, I really miss the Scala and so does my son. We attended the very last weekend it was open (to see The Grinch) and whilst waiting for the movie to start, I noticed above me how bad the cracks in the walls were and what a shame it was allowed to decay in such a way.
I absolutely love living in the town of Prestatyn and I think the new proposed building will be a fantastic and very viable community resource, not only as a more pleasant venue to see the latest films and theatrical productions but for small and voluntary community groups as a whole, especially those that can't afford their own meeting rooms and modern facilities. Also to schools that will I'm sure make use of the excellent theatre facilities. The new Scala will be much more than just a great cinema with the latest films; it will essentially be a functioning and busy Town Hall once again.
Speaking to others whilst working on the website has been insightful as it seems many are concerned that DCC will not have the technical skills or passion to make the Scala a success. This seems to be a common and fair concern, but the Scala can and should be run by an experienced management trust that will according to the Scala business plan bring their skills, knowledge and enthusiasm into running a successful facility for the town, that we can all benefit from.
The role and hard work of the Friends of the Scala has at this crucial stage never been more important or appreciated and I hope (with grateful thanks to the generous and kind Harry Thomas who gave his permission to the Friends to use his unique perspective and material on the history pages) that I've been able to get across the important history of the building which shouldn't be forgotten and to highlight the benefits to the Town.
I hope the Scala is re-opened one day and doesn't simply become a sought after and valuable plot of land for 'retail' developers. Plenty of other small towns have Cinema's without the added extra facilities that the new Scala will contain.
There are always extras and improvements that I aim to add to the website and feedback will be most welcome. Thanks for your assistance and materials which have certainly made the task easier (given that this is not specifically a cinema website with plentiful movie images and trailers), and that I'm sure visitors to the site will enjoy it!
