We heard at 5 pm tonight that Denbighshire County Council voted yes to the new Scala going ahead at their cabinet meeting this morning. This is wonderful news for The Friends as our Campaigning has finally paid off. I'm not entirely sure of all the details but all we are waiting for now is the monies to be secured by Prestatyn Town Council and we are ready for the off, Sandra has been on the telephone all evening with the local papers wanting to get her views on the outcome so keep your eyes out for the stories in the coming weeks, thank you to everyone who has supported us and will still support us although this is great news The Friends still have a lot of work to do while the new building is being constructed and when it is open and up and running.

This is wonderful news and a great credit to all "Friends" who've worked so hard for the last 6 years.
Well done everybody......including the Councillors of course ,who voted for what the people of Prestatyn wanted.

Fantastic news indeed! A big thank you to everyone concerned and to echo Bryan's sentiments, a huge thank you to our Councillors for their support and for not giving up.

Yes Bryan and Graham we are very excited to say the least infact there are no words to describe our feelings at the moment and although the campaign is not over yet for the friends we are delighted with this outcome.
