Denbighshire County Council supports the Scala

The redevelopment of the Scala Cinema, Prestatyn, is one step closer after Denbighshire County Council gave its support to the scheme. Denbighshire has agreed to allocate a maximum of £376,000 from the current Captial Plan to the project. However, the project will only go ahead if Denbighshire receives written confirmation of funding and contractual commitment of £1.1 million from Prestatyn Town Council, and other external funders, by December 31 this year. Councillor Sue Roberts, Cabinet Lead Member for Promoting Denbighshire, said: "We're delighted that Denbighshire County Council has confirmed its support for the Scala project. "I would like to personally thank officers, councillors, the Scala Advisory Group, and the ground-breaking decision by Prestatyn Town Council to find substantial capital resources to support the scheme. "I will continue to work together with officers and Council Members to try and reduce yet further the funding provided by Denbighshire."
